Hearts Content is a semi displacement motor cruiser with twin Volvo Penta diesel 100hp engines, a very capable cruiser for the Thames where it has been since 2017, which is when I purchased her. The twin engines give her easy and precise handling whether mooring or maneuvering into the locks, a plus over single engine equivalent! She is a nice clean example of the type and has everything onboard to be self sufficient, including an eberspacher heating system, 240v generator, emersion heater for hot water, large holding tank with electric flush en-suite toilet, chemical toilet in the 2nd WC, onboard 12v battery charger with 4 6v leisure batteries, radio with wall mounted speakers and 12V. TV point with external aerial and aerial booster, VHF radio for coastal cruising and a large drinking water tank under the rear bedroom. Gas hob, grill and oven along with a 12v refridgerator. She is back in the water and ready for any inspection.

Cockpit layout is roomy enough for cruising along with plenty of seating area and comfortable seating for captain at the helm. Cabin area is also plentiful with sofa for 6 person and the pull out base will make a large double bed. Plenty of cabinet space and drawers under the sofa along with a small wardrobe. Double birth at the rear with en-suite shower, sink and electric flush toilet with cabinet for toiletries. Reasonable size wardrobe and shelf for clothes and a dressing table with drawers under, plenty of storage in the rear bedroom. Front bedroom with two single beds and two wardrobes and drawers, along with a shelf on either side. All beds have wall lights with night lite and USB sockets for charging mobile phones. Front toilet with sink, chemical toilet and shower. Kitchen at front with gas hob, oven and grill, fridge and plenty of storage.
GRP hull construction to the normal Broom high quality with interior to match. These boats are solidly built and the accommodation well thought out.
We have a 4KW diesel generator and plenty of 240V sockets all round the accommodation along with a underfloor battery charger for the leisure and starter batteries. This will also run the emersion heater for hot water and the toaster and kettle. The diesel eberspacher heater with piping to front and rear bedrooms and cabin area, this was serviced and new CPU fitted in 2019 and really does work well.
I have recently bought the boat closer to home for the lift out and service, along the tidal Thames, Estuary and North Kent Coast to Sandwich. I have the VHF radio, a depth and speed log, rudder condition monitor and a tablet with navionics app that works perfectly. There is a Autohelm radar fitted and working but I never use it. I always carry a latest map and listening watch on the appropriate channels. The boat handles excellent on the coastal waters.
Twin 100 horse power diesel Volvo Penta 31TMD. Oil and filter change and serviced every year when boat is out of water. Excellent engines on this boat and run immaculately, smokeless and start first time. Fuel tanks were cleaned out in 2021 and new filters etc. fitted same year. The engine bay is as you would expect, clean and dry with no signs of oil leakage. I would welcome any survey or inspection on the engines and engine bay with confidence.
I have two children's and two adult life jackets onboard, along with a two man dinghy and a life raft, never used.
